It's Friday, TGIF!  My Allium flowers are blooming.  It was attracting this Bumblebee to it's blooms.  It had some lovely bubbly bokeh in the image so sharing it for today because Friday's Are Bokehlicious!

Today's image is one I took last year and just recently found.  It is of a wildflower that is beginning to bloom now called False Indigo or Blue Wild Indigo.  It normally blooms in May but mine was blooming in April already this year due to some abnormally warm weather.  I was able to capture this bee with a colorful pollen pouch enjoying it.

My Red Salvia has been a reliable plant for me, surviving even in 100 degree weather well.  The bees like it as well which is nice.  I captured this Bumblebee enjoying it one afternoon recently.

The Blue Wild Indigo was very prolific this year.  It was beautiful to see the blue-ish flowers everywhere in fields along the roads.  The butterflies and bees were enjoying it as well.  I captured this Bumblebee on it's way to one of the blooms.

I have been able to see several honeybees this year foraging on different plants.  It's good to see them around.  This is another that I captured while my little Grape Hyacinths were still blooming.  It was busy flying from one bloom to another and feeding on them in-between.

Happy Friday, TGIF!  We are starting to be much warmer, we even hit around 90F which is ridiculous for this early.  It is making the bees and butterflies start to emerge though.  This is an older image however of a Bumblebee I captured last summer enjoying the Marigolds.  I chose this image for today due to the lovely bubbly bokeh because Friday's Are Bokehlicious!

I found this photo that I thought turned out rather well of a Bumblebee that was collecting pollen from the Cosmos.  I liked how it seemed to be looking at me and how you could see the collected pollen on it's legs.

Oops, I am a bit late posting today, I usually have them set to go but got behind.  We are back to warmer weather and I feel like sharing a photo that reminds me of summer.  This is a Bumblebee enjoying some Marigold flowers in my garden.

I have not posted a bee image for a while.  They are all probably hibernating these days since the cold has arrived.  I look forward to seeing them out and about in the spring again.  I captured this Bumble on the Goldenrod back in September.

It's Friday, TGIF!  Friday's Are Bokehlicious as well!  I chose this image with some lovely bubbly bokeh of a couple of bees enjoying the Sandhill Plum blooms in my yard a couple of weeks ago.  The Sandhill Plum was recently made the state Fruit of Kansas.  I was mainly trying to photograph the Bumble Bee and discovered it had been photo-bombed by the other bee when looking through my photos.

Today is the last day of March.  This year is moving along somewhat quickly it seems.  Today's image has 2 of my favorite things to photograph, bees and flowers.  This is a Bumblebee I captured on one of my Cone Flowers last summer.

It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog!  Today's flower is Common Milkweed.  The Monarchs use it as a staple but, as you can see, bees enjoy it as well.  I was pleased to be able to transplant and have grow a plant of it when they had done some roadwork near my house several years ago now.  I find the blooms of it quite interesting with all the small flowers making up a ball.

On to 4000!  😃  Today's image is a close up I got not that long ago of a Bumblebee enjoying on of my Zinnias.  The flowers are probably all done now because as I write this we are forecasted to have had a freeze on Monday night.  Now, in to the dreary season.

Today's image is actually a composite.  I shot the image of my Bee Balm flower earlier this summer but found it somewhat uninteresting.  Then, this is another bee in flight images I got that had a very boring background so I decided to put them together into a more all around interesting image, to me anyway.  Another reason to not trust what you see on the internet these days.  😉

I have seen Bumblebees around fairly often this year and I am now just starting to see Honeybees again on the Sedum.  I captured this Bumble on one of my flowers that I am not sure exactly what it is.  It looks to be in the Mum family to me but not really sure.  It has a yellowish center that the bee is covering up.  I liked the bits of pollen on it's back.

Happy Friday!  TGIF!  I got lucky this past weekend and I saw this Bumblebee hovering around one of my plants.  It stayed long enough for me to run and get my camera and take some shots.  This is one with it's back to me showing off it's bee butt.  😁  I liked the creamy bokeh in this image produced by the rocks behind it.  Sharing it for today because Friday's Are Bokehlicious!

It's Friday, TGIF!  Friday's Are Bokehlicious as well!  I captured this lovely bokeh image of a Bublebee buzzing around the tall Penstemons in my Gazebo garden pond.  I have not seen many Honeybees for a while but the Bumbles are sure around a lot.  I love the bubbly type bokeh in this image caused by the sunlight on the leaves behind.

Happy July!  I captured this Bumblebee as it was landing on a wild Wisteria bloom at the railroad I play at outside Topeka.  Amazing how those little wings move that big body.

I love seeing the bees at work around the yard and trying to capture them.  I found this Bumblebee one day in very early October busy on a Marigold flower.  There were not a lot of flowers left by then so it had to take what it could get.

10/1/20

Happy October 1!  Seems like autumn snuck up on me somehow this year but it is here as the leaves are falling like crazy and most of my flowers are done for the year.  Today's image is one I took at the Sunflower field south of here.  I was there at sunset and this bee seemed to be hunkered down in the side of this bloom for the evening.  You can tell how big the bloom was as I could only get just a part of it in relation to the Bumble bee.
