It's Friday, TGIF!  A short week due to the holiday but they always seem longer for some reason.  I caught this image a little while ago of a Tiger Swallowtail flying to my Budhelia or Butterfly Bush.  I got lucky in that it was even in focus!  😁  I chose this image for today due to the bokeh of the grass behind because Friday's Are Bokehlicious as well!

It's Friday!  Woohoo, we made it, TGIF.  It's Friday the 13th and some are superstitious about that but it's usually been an OK day for me.  😀  Friday's Are Bokehlicious and today's image has some nice bubbly bokeh for you.  It's also one to warm you up if you are cold like me.  This is a Painted Lady Butterfly on my Butterfly Bush with the Marigolds providing the lovely background bokeh.

It's Friday, TGIF!  Friday's Are Bokehlicious and I have a photo to share with my favorite bokeh, the bubbly kind, for today.  This is a Silver Spot Skipper on my Butterfly Bush or Buddleja this past summer.

TGIF!  It was, well, seemed like, a long week for some reason.  😄  Today's image is another of the Painted Lady butterflies that visited my garden this past summer.  It is enjoying my lovely Butterfly Bush blooms.  The plants in the background are creating some nice soft bokeh and because Friday's Are Bokehlicious I am sharing this image with you today.

Normally my butterfly shots are good for bokeh images too.  This one has basically the absence of bokeh or in reality, quite smooth bokeh.  Anyway, this is a Painted Lady I captured on the Butterfly bush enjoying the blooms one afternoon.

TGIF!  We made it to another Friday!  My Butterfly Bush was very popular this year with the butterflies.  I was able to capture this Clouded Sulphur on my new pink variety of it earlier this year.  It has a little Skipper companion with it as well.  The bit of bubbly bokeh meant I had to post it today because Friday's Are Bokehlicious!

My Butterfly Bush or Budhelia was pretty popular this year.  I captured this neat little visitor one day enjoying the blooms.  This is a Bee Fly and they are quite fuzzy and have a long proboscises to feed on nectar of plants.

I had not seen many smaller butterflies around for a while but they were back like crazy on Monday.  I'll see what happens when the cold snap hits on Tuesday.  These have been around fairly steadily and I captured this one on a Butterfly Bush bloom not long ago.  It is an Alfalfa Caterpillar butterfly, not the greatest name for a kind of lovely one.

The Painted Lady butterflies are finally back.  I have a good number of them around now and enjoying the Butterfly bushes in my yard.  I love the bright vivid flowers on these bushes and apparently, so do the butterflies.  😀

Today's image is another Bumblebee.  I find them to be pretty decent subjects.  They usually let me get in fairly close and don't seem to bothered as long as I don't disturb their search for food.  I captured this one on a vibrant bloom of my Budhelia or Butterfly Bush.

On another note, I saw that if your sky is clear tonight at 4:50 UTC which is 10:50 CST, if you look east towards Orion there may be a burst of meteors as the earth travels close to an old comet trail.  I think we will be cloudy but hopefully not.  It also may not happen, they are not sure how close we will hit to the trail but if it does it could be pretty spectacular for about 15 mins or so.

Another Palindrome date and also Friday the 13th.  It's always been a good day for me so hope it continues that way.  Fridays are Bokehlicious so here is a lovely Clouded Sulphur butterfly on a Budlejah bloom with some lovely creamy bokeh behind.

I have now been starting to see lots more butterflies around.  It has mostly been smaller ones like Skippers and Painted ladies but over the weekend I saw several Swallowtails.  This is a male Black Swallowtail on the Budhelia or Butterfly bush.

Yeesh, I was brain dead yesterday so posting late.  A beautiful little female Cloudless Sulphur Butterfly I was able to capture this past summer on the Butterfly Bush.  Winter has been fun with the bubbles and flakes but I am ready for it to be over.

So it looks like we may get snow today.  Not really that fond of that unless it's a pretty snow.  It was warmer out this morning than I thought it was going to be.  This is from a much warmer day than we have been having.  This is a beautiful bloom off of my Butterfly Bush also known by several other names like Budhelia, Buddleia, Budleja.  The butterflies were enjoying it this past autumn so it lives up to it's name.

I have been so lucky with butterflies this year.  The past few weeks I have had a number of Monarchs come through the yard and visit the gardens.  I was able to capture these 2 together on the Budhelia or Butterfly Bush in what I think of as one of my best butterfly images.  😊

Yikes, it's December 1, only 24 days to Christmas and where has the year gone.  My image was taken on a summer day last year.  This is a Tiger Swallowtail enjoying the Butterfly or Buddleja Bush in my yard.

So I felt like sharing something bright and cheerful and I haven't shared a butterfly in a while so here's one.  This is a Painted Beauty that was visiting the Butterfly Bush which is also known as a Buddleia or Buddleja Bush.  I'm looking forward to summer and views like this.

So I have been whining about not seeing any large butterflies this summer.  I finally had one that came to visit for a while.  This is a male Tiger Swallowtail that I captured in some afternoon sun on my Buddleja or Butterfly Bush.  I have since seen it flying through the yard but so far have not seen it stopping.  Ah well.  At least I got to capture some shots of it this day.
