It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog!  Today's flower is Wild Four-O'Clock.  This flower is normally pink but in the "fruiting" stage turns a very pale greenish color.  The fruits are the small seed that can be seen in the center.  Their name refers to the fact that it opens in late afternoon.  They usually bloom from May to August but, as seen here, can be nice even after their peak.

  1. A nice flower to photograph, you can sleep in and not miss their opening!
