It's Friday, TGIF!  Friday's Are Bokehlicious as well so I chose this image for today.  I thought the wall behind created an interesting bokeh.  This is a Painted Lady Butterfly visiting my Sedum this past September with a bug of some sort incoming as well.

It's Friday, TGIF!  It's also a double digit day.  😁  Today's image is actually from last fall but I had never shared it.  I love the bokeh behind that gives it a kind of painted effect.  This is a Painted Lady butterfly on Goldenrod.

Today's image is one I hope to see very soon.  T on Goldenrod I was able to capture last fall.  The flower won't be out until later but I hope to be able to see butterflies around in our area very soon.  We had a lot of small butterflies in our area last summer but not very many large ones.  It will be interesting to see what we get this year.

We had quite the snowstorm and cold this past weekend into the week so I need a summery photo as I really miss that.  This is a Painted Lady butterfly that I captured on a Zinnia flower back in September.

Happy Monday and happy new week!  I am going to start off the week with something that makes me happy, butterflies and flowers.  This is a Painted Lady butterfly that I was able to capture recently visiting my Zinnias.  Remember when you are planting next spring, Zinnias are great flowers to plant to draw in butterflies.  They grow from seed and are fairly low maintenance.

Today's image is actually from last year because there have not been any butterflies visiting my Buddleja or Butterfly Bush, that I have seen anyway.  So far only Skippers while I have been around.  This is a Painted Lady butterfly that visited.  There is an added bonus as well that you may spot that I didn't until working on the photo.  😄

Happy Monday and happy new week!  Today is a special day, it's Earth Day!  Every day should be Earth Day but ....  We can all do our part by thinking about how many disposable type items we use instead of a re-usable one.  We can think of what we plant in our yard to give a food source to bees and butterflies.  I leave my clover and dandelions in spring when there is nothing else around for early emegers to eat instead of mowing it off.  We can plant things they like as well and it doesn't have to be expensive.  Flowers like Zinnias, Echinaceas, Cosmos, and even Marigolds are easy to start from seed and I almost always find bees or butterflies enjoying them.  My image of the day is of  a Painted Lady butterfly on an Echinacea in one of my gardens.

It's a double digit day!  It's also Friday, TGIF!  We were in the mid 60s this week and it felt like summer compared to what we had been having.  Today's image is one from late this past summer when the Asters were beginning to bloom and a Painted Lady butterfly was visiting them.  I chose this image for today due to the lovely bokeh created by the Aster blooms because Friday's Are Bokehlicious!

Happy Monday and happy New Week!  I am starting off the week with a butterfly, actually 2 butterflies.  These are a couple of Painted Lady butterflies that were enjoying my Lantana in a pot on my deck this autumn before the big frost days came.  I am trying to over winter the Lantana.  I have done it before but it's not really happy about it.  We shall see how it goes.

It's Friday!  Woohoo, we made it, TGIF.  It's Friday the 13th and some are superstitious about that but it's usually been an OK day for me.  😀  Friday's Are Bokehlicious and today's image has some nice bubbly bokeh for you.  It's also one to warm you up if you are cold like me.  This is a Painted Lady Butterfly on my Butterfly Bush with the Marigolds providing the lovely background bokeh.

It's Friday, TGIF!  Even though we had a hard freeze already this year, there are still some butterflies around, mainly Sulphurs and Cabbage Whites.  I saw one of these after as well but they have not been seen for a while.  I captured this image back in July of a Painted Lady on a Zinnia.  Because Friday's Are Bokehlicious, I chose this image for the nice creamy bokeh.

The Painted Lady butterflies and the Autumn Sedum seem to be a great duo.  When the Sedum blooms, they appear and take advantage of it.  Like everything else, it doesn't last long enough but it's lovely to watch and enjoy while it does.  I was able to capture these 2 enjoying it together.

It's a double digit day!  😊  I have seen a few more butterflies around these days.  The Painted Ladies have been around a lot more.  I captured this one on my Butterfly Bush or Budldleia a couple weeks ago.

TGIF!  It was, well, seemed like, a long week for some reason.  😄  Today's image is another of the Painted Lady butterflies that visited my garden this past summer.  It is enjoying my lovely Butterfly Bush blooms.  The plants in the background are creating some nice soft bokeh and because Friday's Are Bokehlicious I am sharing this image with you today.

It's Friday!  I am sharing another butterfly image today.  This is a Painted Lady butterfly that I photographed on my Autumn Sedum this past summer.  There is another butterfly in the back and some more Sedum providing some nice bokeh.  Friday's Are Bokehlicious!

It's Friday, TGIF!  Today's image is of a Painted Lady that I photographed on one of the Marigolds I planted in my garden.  Marigolds and Zinnias are cheap flowers you can grow to attract butterflies.  They grow well from seed and butterflies seem to like them a lot.  Today's image has some lovely bokeh created by the Marigold leaves as well so sharing it today because Friday's Are Bokehlicious!

TGIF  This is another capture of a Painted Lady butterfly that I was able to get this past summer.  This one was enjoying my lovely Zinnias.  The flowers behind created some lovely bokeh so I shared this for today because Friday's Are Bokehlicious!

Today's image is of a lovely Painted Lady butterfly on my Butterfly Bush.  That plant is quite the draw for butterflies if you are looking for something to plant to attract them.  Plus it has lovely blooms to photograph them on.  This image has virtually no bokeh, it has a very creamy background.

I love butterflies and I fortunately get a good amount of them on my flowers in my gardens.  They make great subjects if you are patient and wait for them to settle for a moment.  This is a Painted Lady I captured on the Butterfly Bush this past summer.  The bokeh was great behind it as well so I had to share for my first Friday's Are Bokehlicious post as well.  😃

It's Friday, TGIF!  Fridays are Bokehlicious as well!  This image is one I took in early September of a Painted Lady butterfly that was enjoying the Marigolds in my garden.  The blurred leaves provide the lovely contrasting bokeh.
