The Black-eyed Susans have had, what I would call, a super bloom this year.  There are quite a bit of them everywhere brightening up the landscape.  I took this panorama out by the Milford Lake spillway about a week ago or so.

It's the first day of July, we are halfway through the year already!  It's also Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog!  Today's flower is one that makes me happy and is blooming like crazy this year.  This is Black-eyed Susan which bloom May through September.  It's in the Sunflower family and is formally known as Rudbeckia Hirta.

Happy Monday and happy new week!  Starting off the week with one of my favorite flowers, Black-eyed Susans.  I have trouble getting these to grow but they have taken off at my Gazebo pond for some reason because the light is not what they typically like.  As you can see in this photo, it's a very shady spot which made for a moody image.

It's Friday, TGIF!  My Black-eyed Susans are blooming over at the Gazebo pond and making the area look lovely.  They seem to thrive in this area even though it doesn't make sense to me as it is very shady and they normally like a lot of sun.  Whatever, I am happy to see them.  I love the bokeh in this image so sharing it for today because Friday's Are Bokehlicious!

It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog!  I don't think I have shared this flower this year and it is one of my favorites!  These are Black-eyed Susan that are growing on the bank of my Gazebo Pond.  They usually bloom May through September.  They are also known as Rudbeckia Hirta and are in the Sunflower family.

It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog!  Today's flower is one of my favorites and it was a very good year for them last year as there were a lot around and they bloomed a long time.  This is a very large group of Black-eyed Susans that were growing in a ditch along the road.  They usually bloom May through September and are part of the Sunflower family.

It's a double digit day!  😸 It's also Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog!  We have had a lot of dreary cold days so I feel for a flower that makes me happy and that is Black-eyed Susans.  They usually bloom May through September.  This past year I saw them in October still.  This is a group that I have by my Gazebo pond.  They usually prefer sunny spots but this spot is fairly shady and they do better here than anywhere else in my yard.  Weird.

Happy Monday and new week!  My "baby" Rudbeckia, also known as Black-eyed Susans, plant which went through a couple of starts and grew through the winter is doing very well in it's spot in the garden.  I love the look of them with the dual color petals.

Happy Monday!  Today's image is of a flower that took FOREVER to bloom.  I planted this in late June due to some extenuating circumstances.  By frost time they still had not grown very much and I couldn't bear to let them die so I put them in a small pot and brought them into the office.  It just bloomed 2 weeks ago!  How crazy is that.  I figured it wouldn't bloom till I put it back outside but it surprised me.  This is a Rudbekia which is a variety of Black Eyed Susan.

Woohoo, it's Friday, TGIF!  What a week, so glad it's done.  I need a nice cheerful image for today and these always make me happy to see.  These are some Black-eyed Susans that were growing beside the Gazebo pond this year.  They have some wonderful bubbly bokeh behind as well and that always makes me happy too and, as you know, Friday's Are Bokehlicious!

It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog!  I had to share another shot of one of my favorite wildflowers, they make me happy.  They are still blooming in my garden by the gazebo pond.  These are Black-eyed Susans.  Their bloom time is May through September and are in the Sunflower family which is probably why I like them so much.

It's Wildflower Wednesday on the Blog.  For the last one of 2020 I wanted to share one of my favorite wildflowers.  These are Black-eyed Susans and they had a good growing year.  I saw them around in several areas and it was lovely to see.  I have trouble growing them and the plant I put in by my large pond didn't do well but it produced some offspring that thrived so that was good.  This particular group was growing in a rocky place that was a recent road work area and must have been seeded with wildflowers because there was quite the abundance of them growing there this year.  A lot of my butterfly photos from this past year are from this area.

Happy Veteran's Day!  Thanks to all the veterans for their service.

It's Wildflower Wednesday on the Blog.  Today's flower is one of my favorites.  This one is rather hardy as well because I found it still blooming on a walk even after having several days of nights in the low 20s F.  This is a trio of Black Eyed Susans.

I saw these flowers at the National Museum of Transportation in St Louis in July.  I am not sure what they are but they were quite striking I thought.  They look like a cross between a Gaillardia or Blanket Flower and a Black-eyed Susan.  I need to find out what they are because I would love to find some to plant.

Edit:  After some Googling I discovered that these are indeed a type of Black-eyed Susan or Rudbeckia.  Now to find where to buy them.  😃

It's Wildflower Wednesday on the Blog once again!  I am working on a project having to do with the wildflower images I have captured and hope to unveil it soon.  It is taking a lot more time to do than I thought it would.  Anyway, today's flower is a Blackeyed Susan.  They are blooming quite profusely along the side of the road right now.
