It's Steamy Sunday here on the Blog!  Today's image is one that I took a number of years ago on a trip to Colorado.  Former Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad locomotive 1819 sits at the Colorado Welcome Center in the town of Lamar.  It's a Prairie type 2-6-2 locomotive that was built in 1906 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works.  It was retired in 1953 and donated to Lamar in 1956.

  1. Nice one. I hope it gets TLC being stored outdoors

    1. Thanks very much Jim. I think they do take fairly good care of it.

  2. Nice shot. For an outdoor display it looks in decent shape. I've seen much worse.

    1. I know, me too. At that time they seemed to be keeping it up well. Many thanks Tom.
