It's Steamy Sunday here on the Blog! Today's image is one that I took a number of years ago on a trip to Colorado. Former Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad locomotive 1819 sits at the Colorado Welcome Center in the town of Lamar. It's a Prairie type 2-6-2 locomotive that was built in 1906 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. It was retired in 1953 and donated to Lamar in 1956.
Nice one. I hope it gets TLC being stored outdoors
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Jim. I think they do take fairly good care of it.
DeleteNice shot. For an outdoor display it looks in decent shape. I've seen much worse.
ReplyDeleteI know, me too. At that time they seemed to be keeping it up well. Many thanks Tom.
