9/8/21

It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog.  Today's flower is one of my favorites, Coneflower or Echinacea.  I have it growing in several gardens around my land and it bloomed really well.  Some kind of small caterpillar ate all the leaves off of several groups but they seem to be OK and are putting out new leaves at the base of the plants.  They really draw in the butterflies and bees.

  1. Nice backlit image.
I finally planted some in our huge😊 backyard (36'x20'). They bloomed profusely, but stayed low at about 10" high, hopefully next year they'll grow up.

    1. Thanks so much Jim. I have some short ones, I like those more compact ones for the after bloom, not so messy looking. :-)
