This is a Twelve Spot Dragonfly, one of the few that I find easy to identify. This one was being rather cooperative for me sitting on a rock that borders one of my gardens.
Nice one Shelly. I actually recognize that one! I assume the dragonflies have all departed for wherever they depart to in the late fall?
