It's Steamy Sunday here on the Blog! I have been to the Georgetown Loop in Colorado a couple of times at least. It was quite the engineering accomplishment in it's day though the original railroad was dismantled and the current loop line is a reconstruction that was completed in the 1980s.. I took this image during my first trip there back in the early 1990s. The locomotive they were using at that time was Number 14, a 3 cylinder Shay type locomotive. I captured it as it was crossing the reconstructed Devil's Gate Bridge near the Georgetown end.
