We have been getting rain somewhat regularly this summer.  I have been riding my bike later in the day as well so I was able to capture this storm moving in around sunset recently.

We have been incredibly hot this past week, at or near 100 F and humid too.  UGH  Remembering back a couple of weekends to my trip to Colorado in the lovely cooler dry air.  I was treated to a lovely sunset on the second evening as well.

I was out on an evening bike ride this past week and was treated to a lovely sky.  This is a view to the west over a large field for cattle.

It's a double digit day!  😀  Today's image is an older one I had taken of a nice sunset with my drone.  It is overlooking our huge high school complex.

Thursday night we had a very small storm cell moving into the area.  As usual, we did not get much rain out of it but it did produce a quite lovely sunset sky.

I was out for a walk recently and there was a spectacular sunset that was wonderful to watch it change and lasted longer than I thought it would.  It began with lovely light hues of orange and yellow but ended up with these vibrant reds and oranges.  I was lucky to be in a good spot for this color without a lot of houses around.  I thought the clouds kind of gave this image a 3D effect.

This is an image of one of my favorite places near where I live.  It's what made me start to like Kansas.  This is a sunset image taken out on Konza Prairie.  It's a lovely place to walk and view a bit of the remaining tall grass prairie left in the US.

We had a few lovely sunsets in November.  Today's image is one that I captured about mid month while I was heading home from a bike ride.  It was nice this year that I could ride my bike up until the last week of November.  My knees don't like walking as much.  😏

Autumn seems to be a great time in my area for lovely sunrises and sunsets or maybe I just get to see more of them. 😂  This was the lovely sky I was treated to on my bike ride home after dinner last Friday.

A little over a week ago I was on my way home and there was a storm moving into the area.  It made for some beautiful light and clouds so I had to stop and get a photo.  Fortunately, all we got out of it was some rain and not too much although it poured like crazy for a few minutes.

Today's image is from my recent trip to Minnesota.  I was out one evening in a field where they had been doing some wheat threshing and saw a different view of the farm there that I share every year.  It was near sunset so there was nice color to the sky as well.

I was in Minnesota last weekend for the annual Steam School.  I was out in the evening as the sun was setting and the sky was rather interesting I thought.  A lot of the time, the sky was smoky due to fires in Canada, I hope the rains are making their way there and those are ending.

I took this image this past Tuesday evening of the colorful sky to the east as the sun was setting and the moon was rising.

Today's image is of a lovely sunset I viewed while walking a couple of weeks ago.  Venus is captured in the image as well.  The comet is probably in it as well but it was much too dim at this time to see it and the sky much too bright.  😄

We had a quite lovely sunset about a week and a half ago.  Lately the sunsets have just been hazy and a very red sun, I believe this is due to smoke from some western fires.  This image shows the damage to our poor old Oak tree, tallest tree in the middle, as well that it received in the bad storm we had a few weeks ago.  It used to have a nice curved shape to the top but now there is a huge chunk out of it on the right.  😢

We have finally broken our drought period but I fear that it will stop and we will go back into one.  We have been getting a good amount of rain lately and the ponds are finally full around the area.  The sunset after one of the storms this past week was an interesting orange color which doesn't seem to come through in the photo as vividly as it was in real life but is still lovely I thought.

Last weekend was the annual Wildflower Walk out at Konza Prairie.  It was a lovely evening and they had a huge turnout.  I led a group of about 20 fun people.  After we got back I went back out a short way to watch the sun set over the prairie and I took this image.  That's an Echinacea in the foreground and behind is a lovely example of a Butterfly Milkweed.

It's a double digit day!  😺  We have been having spring like weather so I can share more winter images without feeling too cold.  We had a good mount of snow this past January and this is an image I took near sunset one evening with a bit of color in the sky.  The snow was quite lovely with the way it clung to the trees.

It's a double digit day!  I was bike riding home from going out to dinner last Friday for the last time this year, with the time change it has gotten too dark to safely ride that late.  The sunset as I was almost home was pretty spectacular looking so I had to stop and take a photo of it.  The lights in the distance are the continuation of the walking/biking trail in this particular area of town.

We had a beautiful sunset a little over a week ago.  I was working in the kitchen and looked out and saw the lovely color so ran out with my phone and quickly grabbed an image.
