This tree is on my brother and sister-in-law's property and is just gorgeous.  It is some kind of Maple, I think, that is red all the time, not just in autumn.   I love shooting trees straight up into them for a bit different perspective.

TGIF It is Friday!  Friday's Are Bokehlicious here on the Blog and I have a lovely bubbly bokeh image to share for today.  My Maple tree whas changing color recently and I captured some f the leaves backlit by the sun.  The leaves on the trees behind and the sunlight are creating the lovely bokeh.

Our autumn this year was not as colorful as some years and definitely not as colorful as other areas of North America.  We had some very early low temps and very high winds of 45 mph and over which blew most of them down early.  The few that survived and clung to my Maple tree the longest did turn a quite lovely red like this group I captured in the late afternoon sun.

We are having a bit of spring before we head into winter again on Friday.  I felt like something colorful and cheery today so here are some leaves from my beautiful Maple tree.  I call it a Red Maple because the leaves ended up red but maybe it has a different name.  It was beautiful whatever it's called.

Today's image is another of the lovely leaves with a bubbly bokeh background of the Red Maple I discovered this autumn on the outskirts of the new land.  It really put on quite the show of color.

I was out walking around the new land on Monday and I found something wonderful.  I have a beautiful Red Maple tree on the western edge of the property.  I had not noticed there was a Maple tree there because it had a bunch of scrub trees around it.  As I was walking I could see there was a bunch of red and wondered what it was so imagine my surprise as I got close and realized it was a beautiful Maple.  I have since been clearing out the scrub stuff around it to expose it more and help it thrive.  I wish it was on the eastern side and easier to see but it is worth the effort to visit. 😊 This image was taken in the late afternoon sunlight of a small branch and I loved the bokeh the camera aperture produced.

We got a bit more snow that I thought we would get yesterday, at times the flakes were huge and beautiful.  Since it's all white and brown out I wanted a pop of color.  I shot this back this past autumn.  This is a big, beautiful Red Maple tree out on Fort Riley.  It was really showing off it's colors.

I mentioned how the Maple trees in our area were putting on a show.  This is a friend's red Maple that I thought was quite lovely. I took this shot laying on the ground looking up the trunk.

This is another view of the beautiful Red Maple tree that I found on Fort Riley last week.  I shot some of the leaves against the deep blue sky and loved the almost flames like appearance of them.  These Maples really pop color in the Autumn as compared to the mostly yellows and brown.

This is a Maple tree that I photographed out on Fort Riley about a week or so ago.  It was really putting on a colorful show.  Most of the trees just turn yellow and brown around here but the Red Maples are quite lovely.  I am surprised that most of them still have a lot of leaves left even after a couple of hard freezes here.

I saw this tree while in Missouri at the in-law's.  This Red Maple is in their neighbor's front yard and in the afternoon sunshine it seemed to be on fire, it was just beautiful.
