My Amaryllis finally bloomed again for the first time in 2 years. I actually have a couple of bulbs that have put up a flower spike. This was the first to open though. The time they spent outside this year must have been what they needed to thrive. I captured them against my black felt background.
Amaryllis plants are fun bulbs to grow.
ReplyDeleteBesides the outside treatment, did you put it in a dark dry place for6(?) weeks before bringing on it? I remember reading that somewhere...
They are. Yes, I had it in a dark cool place in the basement, our old photography darkroom :-) for at least 6 weeks.
