11/30/22

It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog and the last one of November.  Today's flower is an image of the Common Sunflower, the state flower of Kansas and one of my favorites.  They bloom July through September normally but I saw some  blooming up till the first hard freeze we had in early November.

  1. Nice shot, Shelly. Sun flowers are popular up here in NY. We've gone to a number of sunflower farms to walk the mazes the farmers make.

  2. They are really nice flowers and did seem to last longer this year. There certainly are a lot of similar varieties just to confuse me.

    1. Yes, it seems some don't have very obvious differences and can be confusing.
