Fall in Kansas is not as lovely as some places that get all the vibrant reds and oranges.  It can be lovely in it's own right if only for a short time before all the leaves get blown off in our usual high winds.  Last week our Oak tree in the side yard was looking rather lovely in the late afternoon sun.
