I'm remembering our colorful autumn again.  Here is a shot of the trestle at the large scale railroad I get to play at outside of Topeka Kansas.  The trees were putting on quite a show in the afternoon sun.  The Poplar trees turn such a lovely golden color and remind me of Aspens.

This image was taken almost exactly 5 months ago now, time flies.  This is the day in May I was chasing the Cumbres & Toltec train as it headed back to Chama New Mexico for photographic opportunities.  I captured it here as it was crossing the Lobato Trestle.  The open car that you can see almost at the end is where I like to ride and photograph from.  You get good images as it rounds a curve like this of the locomotive.

I took this shot just outside our campground in Chama New Mexico of locomotive 484 and it's train heading back into the rail yard after it's day out of Antonito Colorado.  It was just about to cross over the old Denver & Rio Grande Western trestle of which the Cumbres & Toltec and Durango and Silverton are now part of.  I shot this with a zoom lens so I am not as close to the train as it looks and it is not as close to the bridge.  😅
