One day recently, while on a bike ride, there was a friendly horse up near the road.  It allowed me to get a few photos so I picked some nice green grass for it and fed, I think it was a her, as a thank you.

This is another friendly horse that I was able to photograph while out walking with my brother in Pennsylvania.  I wanted to give it a pet but figured I better not.  😁

While I was out in PA I would go on daily walks with my brother.  Around where he lives are a few Amish farms.  These were a couple of friendly horses at one of them.

Last weekend while out on a bike ride I saw these lovely horses out in their field and had to stop and take a couple of pics.  This one stopped grazing long enough to look at me for it's pic.  😁

It's a double digit day today!  😁  During a bike ride on a warm day last week I stopped to capture a very cooperative horse.  He or she, posed very nicely for me and let me take it's portrait.   I love horses, such beautiful animals.

Horses in Autumn.  A pair of beautiful horses out in their pasture with autumn colors behind them that I stopped to photograph during a recent bike ride.

So winter came already, woke up to about an inch of snow!  I am sure my flowers are all gone now.  Sigh.  My image today is of some lovely horses I saw in Minnesota eating in a row.   😃

This is an older image that I found and liked and decided to share.  The General's Mounted Color Guard puts on demonstrations at times of riding and shooting skills from back when Fort Riley was a Cavalry Post.  This was one such event that was held at the Spring Valley Site of the Geary County Historical Society.

I have to work later this week so posts are a bit later than usual.  I was going through the archives and found this cute guy.  This is a miniature horse that the owners bring out to the railroad that I get to play at outside Topeka every now and then.  They bring it for the kids to enjoy in-between train rides.

While riding the Durango & Silverton Railway in southwestern Colorado we all saw and were entertained by this horse and rider.  There was an area early in the ride where they came alongside and seemed to be racing the train for bit.  It was obvious they do this fairly often as there was a well worn path where they were racing along.  It was fun to watch for us on the train this beautiful horse race alongside.

So the April showers are bringing severe storms to the area.  That I can do without.  I took this image this past Saturday.  The Historical Society here at an event at the Spring Valley Schoolhouse.  Before it got busy I was able to take a ride in the carriage which I had never done before.  It was pulled by two beautiful Percheron horses, one of which you can see the rear end of.  I tried to be a little artsy in this shot with the shadow.  :-)

A very busy day today.  Haven't had any time to relax till now.  Got to participate in and observe a few things today.  I was able to take this image while I was working on the locomotive today.  We were on our way to the station and the fire and water were good so I was able to take a moment and snap a photo.  I actually took this with my phone as well and it did a pretty decent job even though we were moving along and I was a little unsteady.  This is the Horse Power are of the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion.
