It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog! Today's flower is Purple Poppy Mallow. People often refer to these as Wine Cup Mallow. It usually blooms from April to August. It is not to be confused with Pale Poppy Mallow. It has a very deep taproot that makes it very drought hardy.

It's Wildflower Wednesday on the Blog. Since it's Christmastime I chose a flower with some Christmas type color in it to feature for today. This is Purple Poppy Mallow and is also known as Winecup. It grows fairly close to the ground and can produce numerous blooms.
