It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog! Today's flower is from one of our trees, a Black Locust. I love these flowers, they remind me of Wisteria. It normally blooms in May and June but I took this image in the last week of April. Even though it is a tree, it is part of the Legume family. It's leaflets fold closed at night and it is drought hardy.

I know we have these around here, but plead guilty to not noticing until I see the seed pods in the fall
