I have had an opportunity to see the Cedar Waxwings in my yard even though I missed them cleaning up the Crabapple trees.  One day I was working at my computer in the afternoon for a moment and happened to catch a bunch of activity out the window.  I went to check and it was a large flock of Waxwings that were getting drinks at the pond and then flying up into the Walnut tree.  It was quite fun to watch them.  I was able to get 14 of them in one shot a few times like this one.

  1. Nice catch. They certainly do fly in flocks, and leave in a hurry

    1. Yes, they were flying here back and forth fairly quickly and then I saw a flock at the Gazebo pond flying back and forth rather quickly. Hard to get a photo.
