It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog!  Spring has sprung here in my area of Kansas and all kinds of things like trees, Lilacs and various wildflowers are blooming.  This is one, Blue Mustard that was blooming rather abundantly in one area that I saw while on a walk.  Blue Mustard usually blooms May through July but I photographed this on the 5th of April.  Warm weather and flowers came early to the area.  It's called "Blue" but looks more pink to me.  It can cause milk to taste off if cows consume it and it has an unpleasant odor when it is crushed.

  1. Never heard of blue mustard. All I've seen so far is some coldsfoot. I'll be looking harder next week.

    1. I only learned about it a couple of years ago now. Glad you are seeing something and not white.
