I was bike riding this past weekend and saw that in a pasture that has some horses I regularly see, this was also there. It's an Elk. I was quite surprised and only had my phone with me because the battery for my camera was dead. It was very interesting to see it in with the horses, not sure why they have an Elk.
Maybe acquired it through a come by chance situation. We have a few elk ranches around here where the elk are raised for meat
