Today's image is of one of my favorite birds, a Dark Eyed Junco. These birds are winter visitors to my area and I love to watch them as they get food from my feeders. I captured this one while it was taking a break in the River Birch tree during a snowfall.
That's one puffed up junco. Do they come to your feeder, or just clean up on the ground. Don't think I've seen one at a feeder
ReplyDeleteI actually saw one on the feeder recently but usually they are on the ground. The feeder it visited has a fairly large open platform with the feeder tube down the center. It was really cold that day, about 0F.
