It's a double digit day! 😁  Dark eyed Juncos come to visit our area in the winter.  It is one of the few things I enjoy about winter.  😏  They are quite fun to watch as the look around for food.  They usually can be seen on the ground  looking for it but I captured this one in the River Birch looking a bit puffed out from the cold.

Today's image is of one of my favorite birds, a Dark Eyed Junco.  These birds are winter visitors to my area and I love to watch them as they get food from my feeders.  I captured this one while it was taking a break in the River Birch tree during a snowfall.

One of the few things that I enjoy about winter is when the Juncos show up.  I find them very cute and fun to watch visitors to the food I put out.  They are only in our area when it's cool and cold out, must not like the heat.  Can't say as I blame them.  😸 I captured this one sitting in the tree resting between feeding.  It was a really cold and windy day and the feathers were ruffled a lot.

Over the winter we have these birds as visitors.  When it gets pretty warm out they head out, guessing they like colder weather and head north.  Opposite of me.  😄  Anyway this is a Dark Eyed Junco that I actually captured at a park I was walking at one day last winter.  It is sitting on the dried berries of a Sumac plant.

Happy Pi Day - 3.141...  😊  Today's image is another of the birds in snow I have been able to capture this winter.  We had weather in the 60s yesterday and right now it is snowing again.  Sigh.  I'd like spring to stay.  Anyway, this is a Dark Eyed Junco on the railing post of my porch.

We went from winter straight into summer most days lately I think.  It can be cooler for a bit, especially if we don't get rain.  Anyway since it's warm I can look at images like this and not feel too cold.  :-)  This is a Dark-Eyed Junco sitting in the Mulberry Tree on a snowy day.

This is an older image of a Junco that was giving me a quizzical look as I was taking it's image.  :-)
