4/11/21

 It's Steamy Sunday here on the Blog.  Today's image is of the same locomotive as last week at the B&O Museum in Baltimore, Maryland.  Obviously this is a front view of this beautiful old locomotive.  You can see the ceiling pretty well which I haven't mentioned much but the roundhouse is just gorgeous.  The wood ceiling and the floor are beautiful as is the turntable which can be operated by just one person it is so well balanced.  Part of the ceiling had collapsed in 2003 but fortunately this very old locomotive was not in it's normal place at the time so was not damaged.  This is the William Mason and was built in 1856.
