This past Saturday, my town held it's Annual Fly-In. It is not strictly for Bi-planes any longer but there were a couple of them there. I missed being able to get a photo of one of them due to having to work the event in a booth but I was able to capture this one and there were some great clouds around to capture it in as well.

This was an interesting plane that came to the Bi-plane Fly In a couple of weekends ago. This was the last one that will be called a "Bi Plane" Fly In. They want more people with planes like this to know that they can come as well. This plane is a Romanian Aerostar that was painted to look like a Japanese Zero from WWII. It was quite neat looking. It was actually built in 2002.

So the last "Bi Plane Fly In" was held in my town this past Saturday. They say there will be Fly Ins in the future, just not limited or focused on bi-planes. It was fun while it lasted and several neat planes turned out for the event. This is one that was not a bi-plane but you can see part of one behind it. This was a neat one that I believe is a T6 Texan though I could find no markings on it. I was able to fly in and fly one very similar several years back. It was quite fun.

It's still quite cold here, high only in the 20s today. I am still dreaming of warmer days. This image was taking on a very warm day on the first weekend in June when the annual Bi-plane Fly-In is held in Junction City Kansas. I have photographed this one before as it comes to the meet every year and is a beautifully restored example.

I decided to share a photo from this past year's Bi Plane Fly In as I realized I had not shared many. This is a beautiful Waco Bi plane and is not restored but is newly built. The Waco company is still producing this type of aircraft.

I took this image of another of the Waco Bi-planes that came to the annual Bi-plane Fly-In held at the beginning of June. Waco is apparently producing planes and I didn't get any info on this one so not sure if it's new or restored. It was a beautiful example whichever.

This is another image that I took at the annual National Bi-plane Fly-In that is now held in Junction City Kansas on the first Saturday in June. It turned out to be a beautiful day this past one and Bi-planes were in the air giving rides and then a bit of a show. This is one of the planes that gives rides, a beautifully restored 1929 Waco built for Mohawk Airways in New York.

So warmer today with a bit of a surprise rain this morning. I'm glad that wasn't snow. My image today goes back to the first weekend in June and the annual Bi-plane Fly-In that has been held in Junction City, KS for the past several years. A fun event and a chance to see some vintage aircraft. These bi-planes were doing a bit of stunt flying at the end of the day that I was able to capture a few shots of. They were simulating a dog fight and the smoke effect really added to it.

Well, the heat is back. Yuck. Humid too. Here is a Stearman Bi-plane close up that I captured at the Bi=plane Fly-In in Junction City. Love these planes. They were Navy training planes and several have been restored and are still flown. Some give rides.

Well, I'm back in the heat. It was 75 F at 6:45 am already. I miss Minnesota where it was only in the low 60s at this time. So my image today is another from the flight and smoke display at the Annual Bi-plane Fly-In a couple weekends ago. It was really fun to watch them buzz the field and put out the smoke trails.

Saturday was the Annual Bi-Plane Fly In here in Junction City, Kansas. Our weather the week before it had been great so there were a good amount of planes there. At the end of the show, several planes took off and did some acrobatic flying with smoke trails. That was quite fun. This is 2 of them which I believe were Stearmans.
