 We had for a few days recently, huge flocks of Canadian Geese flying overhead going both north and south at various times.  Guessing they were going out for food and then heading back to the lake which is north of us.  Late one afternoon while a huge one was going over, I captured several of them as they passed in front of the moon and this is one of those images.

 These birds are very common around here and in some places are considered a nuisance with their numbers.  I liked this image because of the light.  I captured these Canadian Geese flying overhead near sunset one day.  I love the color it gave them.

Well, it's finally warmer out but now it's dreary and rainy.  Ah well.  My image today is a sight I have been seeing recently.  Huge flocks of Geese flying overhead to who knows where.  Last Wednesday while I was traveling out to western Kansas I saw a flock that was even larger than this and made the sky almost black in spots.  Kind of amazing.  I left this photo larger than I usually do because it is best viewed large and is more impressive seen that way.

It is bitter cold here, it was only 2 F or -17 C when I got up this morning around 8.  I got to sleep in because we got the day off due to the cold.  Yay.  I took the image I am sharing today on a much warmer day in December.  It was fairly cold relatively then but nothing like today.  The Canada Geese were headed south over my house and crossing a vapor trail.

I captured this Canadian Geese family on the lake at Alexandria, Minnesota this past summer.  I loved the look of the one young Gosling with the head tilt.

Here's a nice summery shot from this past June in Minnesota.  I went out and saw all kinds of waterbirds the first day I was up there.  This is a family of Canada Geese that I captured on one of the ponds in the area I was in.

A bit different image for a Friday for me.  There is some water bokeh in it and Friday is all about the bokeh.  😃  This is a Canada Geese family I captured as they were out for a swim on one of the 10,000 lakes up in Alexandria Minnesota this past June.  Crazy weather we are having, going to be 50 the next 2 days after highs in the teens.  I like this weather better.

I captured this Canada Goose family in Minnesota this past June on one of the lakes there.  They were out for a leisurely swim.  The goslings were getting pretty large already.

I took this image this past summer in Michigan.  I saw several types of waterbirds this particular evening on the shore of Lake Erie.  I captured this Canada Goose out for a swim and I liked the light and bit of reflection in the water.
