 It's Steamy Sunday here on the Blog!  I went to the Steam Up that a friend has on Memorial Day weekend again this year.  It was a fun time as always and I got to see some neat Live Steam engines.  I ran a couple of mine as well and this was my C-21 2-8-0 running in the evening on the ground loop that he has.  The conditions were really good that day and the locomotive was putting out a quite nice plume of steam as it ran along the line.

 It's Steamy Sunday here on the Blog!  Today's image is one from the mini steam up I did recently where I had some friends over and ran 4 of my locomotives on the new/used raised track.  This locomotive is one of my favorites, a C-21 2-8-0.  This locomotive is based on a real one that was built for the Crystal River RR in Colorado and there were only 2 C-21s built, this one and 360 as numbered by the Rio Grande Western in 1924.The real one was built in 1900 and scrapped in 1951.  My locomotive had to be repaired over the winter due to some faulty O rings and this was it's first run after that.  More details and a very short video of it operating can be seen HERE.

 It's Steamy Sunday here on the Blog!  We are halfway through the year already, my goodness, time is flying.  This is another image of my live steam locomotive on a friend's layout.  It was taken at sunset and the train is by the coaling tower that is pretty impressive.  I thought the image looked like it could be a real train at first glance.

 It's Steamy Sunday here on the Blog!  Last weekend was a big steam weekend for me both large and small.  This is an image of the small example.  This is my live steam C 21 locomotive on a friend's garden railway layout at sunset.  I was doing a last run for the day and the sky was becoming quite lovely and colorful.  The engine runs on Butane and water.

I took today's image of my Live Steam c-21 locomotive on a friend's garden railway layout.  In these trying times while we are supposed to stay away from others, maybe I'll get mine in condition to run trains on it again.  I had started this past winter on nice days so it actually shouldn't take too much work.  Anyway, this is on his very nice metal trestle.  I need to learn to weld so I can do things like this for mine.

For the first Steamy Sunday of February 2020 I thought I would share another of my passions.  This is my Live Steam Accurcraft C-21 locomotive on a friend's layout.  I have been working on getting my railroad cleaned up so I can run trains on it again.  After we bought our new land the railroad took a back seat to that but now that things are fairly cleaned up and shaped up there I hope to be running trains outside again.  For anyone new to the Blog this year, I have a very short YouTube video of this locomotive running in this spot where this image was taken but with a coaling tower there instead.  It can be found here   Link will open in a new window.

Hmm, something went weird with my postings for the weekend but they are both there so it's all good I guess.  😉  My image today goes back to some Garden Railway fun at a friend's house and his nice layout.  I took this in the evening at almost sunset so the smoke has a bit of pink color in it due to that.  It was steaming very nicely in the cooler evening.  This is my C-21 locomotive and I had shared a link a while back of it running on Youtube so if you missed it, here it is again:  https://youtu.be/WrMf8inrSkc  It runs on butane and water and is a great running engine.

So our 100% chance for rain today has dropped to 90% now and looking at the radar, it is moving north alongside us so if we get anything I will be surprised.  This stinks.  It is horribly dry.
My image for today is of my Garden Railway locomotive on our friend's elevated track last year.  It's getting close to the time to go play trains there again.  I am getting my track in shape and hope to run it at home this year as well.  The steam power is produced by butane and water and it was looking good as it was cool and a bit humid out that day.

It's a lovely cool misty morning today.  This image is from a day a lot like today back in June.  I was over at a friend's house running Garden Railway trains and caught this image of my C-21 locomotive on the high line putting out a lovely plume of steam.
