At the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn Indiana, there was a variety of neat cars.  This is the first production Duesenberg, one that was not a race car, that the museum had recently acquired.  It was a beautifully restored car.

While I was at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum, I was able to see another wonderful car that was none of those.  This is a 1960s Jaguar XKE which is my dream car though I would have to learn how to drive a manual transmission car much better to be able to drive it.  It just has such gorgeous lines.  I owed a successor to this for awhile, an XJS and while it was lovely, it wasn't the same (which is why I was able to afford it) though I still miss it.

While in Auburn Indiana, next door to the ACD Museum was the National Automotive & Truck Museum of the US.  It was housed in the old ACD factory.  It was set up with great displays and had some rally interesting vehicles in it.  One of those was this one, a GM Futurliner.  This was Number 10 out of 12 that were built around 1940 for the Parade of Progress which was delayed by WWII until 1952 through 1956.  Each of the 12 had displays in them that showed modern advances in science and technology such as jet engines, microwave ovens, television and other things of the time.  This one belongs to the museum and took 7 years to restore.  I would love to have one of these and make a camper out of it!  😄

The ACD Museum or Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg Museum in Auburn Indiana was filled with beautiful automobiles.  This is an example of a Duesenberg, it is a Straight 8.  I didn't record the actual year unfortunately but it is 1930s vintage.  I'm kind of partial to blue cars so it really caught my eye.

I used to be involved in a Transport Tuesday theme.  Last Monday I was in Auburn Indiana at the Auburn/Cord/Duesenberg museum and got enough shots I could probably do it again for the rest of the year.  😁  If I were able to have any old pre-war automobile that I wanted it would be this one.  This is a Cord 812 Coupe from 1937.  Only 3 coupes were ever produced out of the 3000 Cords that were produced and I would rather have the convertible but this one is pretty sharp.  The hood ornament is custom, it is an Auburn one and the vent ports are LaSalle.  I always though a Cord is a very sharp looking car and especially with the supercharged pipes on it.
