Happy Monday and happy new week! Today's image is o closeup of one of my African Violets. I usually like to share these backlit because I love how the little hairs catch the light. This time I decided to share the blooms from the front as they are interesting in their own right with the ruffle look.

Happy Monday! Hope this week is better than last. Starting off the week with an image of one of my African Violets that flowered for the first time ever. It has a beautiful gradient violet color that starts dark on top and goes to while at the bottom. I did an artsy backlit shot and this is a 3 image focus stack.

Happy Monday! This is the African Violet I shared a couple of weeks ago. It opened up and it has white flowers. They are a bit smaller than the other 2 I have but lovely. I captured this in the sunshine

Happy Monday! Only about 20 shopping days till Christmas, yikes, time is flying. I have some African Violets in my Bay window and this one caught my eye one afternoon with how the sunlight was highlighting it so I had to try and capture it and I think it turned out fairly well. I liked how it showed off the little hairs on the plant. This is the first time this one will have flowered for me and I am curious to see what it's flowers will look like.

Happy Monday! I received a baby African Violet from someone recently and it is starting to bloom. It is a gorgeous deep purple frilly variety. I am so pleased it is doing OK for me as they can be a touchy plant, they are picky about how they are watered. 😄

Happy New Years Day! We made it to 2021! Here's hoping it is a better one for all of us than the past year has been. My image to day is to symbolize regeneration as I hope things will regenerate to more the way they were before the virus hit and that we can all get out and see people and do things again. This is my African Violet given to me by my good friend that I lost. It is in it's regeneration stage of putting out new blooms. As always, Friday's Are Bokehlicious so I had to take the photo with some lovely festive bokeh behind.
