It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog! Today's flower is one that is currently in bloom right now. This is Elderberry and these beautiful blooms will produce berries that can be made into things like jelly or wine. They usually bloom May through July. The plant will generally only live 3 to 5 years but it is constantly producing new plants from it's roots.
Didn't know about the plant's short life as I've seen in the same spot for years. Obviously I am seeing the "replacements" over time
