It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog and I am late posting! Eek. Today's flower is one of my very favorites and will be one of the first to bloom though this variety is not wild in our area. This is a Columbine which is in the Buttercup family. This version is more wild in places like Colorado. Columbines normally bloom in April and May. Ruby throated Hummingbirds and bees love them.
One of the first wild flowers I photographed way back when I started taking pictures. Will still go looking for them in late spring
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing them.
