It's Steamy Sunday here on the Blog! Back in September we did a memorial run for the owner of the railroad that we play at outside of Topeka. We had all 3 of the steam locomotives that he had that were able to operate steamed up and running. It had been quite a number of years since the locomotive with the green tender had last been running. It was a good day and a nice tribute to him to be able to have all 3 operating again. The green one is known as Number 5 and was the first locomotive they had to use on this railroad.
Sounds like his collection included others that weren't up to running that day. Must have quite the round house!
ReplyDeleteThe one on the left and the middle one look the same, just different scale?
He has a lot of pieces parts for other engines but these are the ones that can operate or would be close to operating. It must just be how the photo made them look, they are all the same size but the one on the very right has a lot of modifications to it like the dome and tender, the other 2 are standard Ottaways with no modifications.
