! was so pleased again this year.  The Monarchs once again found my milkweed plants.  I captured this Monarch caterpillar on the plant.  There was another smaller one that was actually eating, this one was moving between leaves.  Common Milkweed is the young Monarch's primary food and so the prime place for them to  lay their eggs.

  1. I've only seen one monarch this year and caterpillars. I have some milkweed plants that mysteriously appeared in my very urban garden. I'm keeping an eye out when I am home- which isn't now as we've gone awol for about 10 days.

    1. Yes, I had a plant show up in a very unlikely place this year. Interesting. I'm happy for whatever I get.
