It's Friday, TGIF! Today's image is of one of my stalks of Salvia catching some lovely afternoon light. I loved the bubbly bokeh behind and so I chose this photo for today because Friday's Are Bokehlicious!
Yes, invasive here too. I have some in my small pond but it is in a pot and cannot spread. When I bought it it was labeled as a pond lily! Uh, no. I didn't know what to look for at the time. I have kept it because it was several years before I knew what it really was and bees and butterflies really seem to like it, plus, as I said, it can't spread.
Very nice Shelly
ReplyDeleteOn first quick glance I thought it was purple loosestrife
Thank you Jim! Had to Google that, yes, very similar at first look.
DeletePurple loosetrife is an invasive specie that we see all over the place up here, especially in damp areas.

DeleteLovely looking flower. Too bad about it being an invasive one.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tom. This one, Salvia, is not invasive, that was another one that looks similar, Loosetrife.
