Happy Monday. Today's image is one I captured of one of my surprise Lilies in bloom. They are also known by other names. Their leaves come up in early spring and then die off. In late summer the flower stalk pops up and they bloom. They have a strong smell and attract butterflies and moths.
Sounds like they resemble "naked lady" crocus in that there is no foliage when they bloom. Nice looking lilies
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Jim. Yes probably similar as they are also known as that in the Lily variety. I didn't put it in the post so it didn't get blocked because of the one word. :-)
DeleteGreat capture, of a lovely looking flower.
