August seems to have lasted forever but today is the last day and we have been a bit cooler again.  My photo today is of a new flower from a plant a friend gave me.  It's a type of Morning Glory.  The blooms are fairly large, about like a squash flower if you have ever seen one of those but more lovely.  I had to take this image before I left for work one day because the blooms are not open when I get home.

  1. This flower runs wild on the beach sand dues here (Australia). It is used as a sand stabilizer.

    1. Interesting! Bet it's lovely when the flowers are open.
