Yikes, it is August and summer is almost totally gone.  It went so fast and I didn't even go on a long vacation in July like normal. Anyway, happy first day of August.  As I mentioned, I don't know my grasses very well but this one had such an interesting look to it.  When I looked it up, my reference book said it is technically a weedy grass.  There is still beauty in weeds I think.  This is called Panicum Capillar or Witches Grass.  I think it looks a lot like it's relative Scribner's Panicum which is also called Harry Potter because it reminds of a magic wand.
