It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog! One of my favorite wildflowers has been blooming in my area lately and I was able to get a photo of it while mowing one day, I did not mow it over. 😅 I was lucky to see it because these are usually closed by mid afternoon. This is Showy Evening Primrose and they usually bloom in May and June. Hawkmoths, Hummingbirds and bees like them and pollinate them.

It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog! Today's image is another of a quite lovely one. This is a close up of a Showy Evening Primrose bloom. They bloom in May and June. You usually have to be quick to see them as their blooms only last a day. They open in the evening and then close in the morning as the sun heats up the day. They will stay open longer on cloudy days.

It's a mirror digit day. 😃 It's also Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog! Today's flower is one that I find quite lovely. I took this photo back in late May. This is Showy Evening Primrose. It usually blooms May and June. The flowers open in the evening and then usually close during the heat of the day but may remain open if it is cloudy out. This image shows very well how, as they age, they turn more pink in color.
