 As I mentioned, the Orioles are back and enjoying the jelly we put out. We have a returning visitor that we haven't seen for a couple of years.  This is an Orchard Oriole.  They are more black in color and have a redish breast.  It was lovely to see it again along with the Baltimores.  I captured it on the feeder through the window on the front door.

My shot for today was a luck one.  I was shooting the bird on the rock and captured the other by accident.  I believe the one sitting is an Orchard Oriole and the one taking off which was a surprise as it came from below is a female Oriole.  I was even more surprised it was in focus.  :-)  This took place in the Badlands of South Dakota.

So today was the last day of my Nature Challenge due to skipping a day for steam.  :-)  This is an Orchard Oriole which is much darker than the bright Baltimore Orioles.  It was sitting on the railing waiting for it's turn at the jelly which is just out of sight to the right.  The Orioles usually disappear when the Mulberries are ripe but this year they still seem to be enjoying what we provide.  I saw one having a drink just this morning.
