I have a day off today so posting early.  :-)  Autumn has set in today, dreary, cold and windy, maybe it's more like winter.  My image today is from a while back and a visit to Mount Evans in Colorado.  It was very cold and extremely windy while I was up there due to the elevation.  This Mountain Goat that I was able to get a good image of had a nice wool coat to protect it, I just had a wind breaker.  I was happy to be able to see Mountain Goats up close and get some good images of them.

Really have gone in to winter now, a winter storm watch is underway.  We are not supposed to get much and I hope we don't.  I took this photo back this summer at the top of Mount Evans in Colorado.  It was incredibly cold and windy up there but this mountain goat seemed to not mind with it's lovely fur coat.  Wish I had had the same while I was taking the shot.  I did have a jacket thankfully but it was still pretty chilly.

This is a shot from the summit of Mount Evans in Colorado.  It was incredibly windy and very cold up there at the end of June so these Mountain Goats that I was able to see and photograph should have been nice and warm in their thick coats.  You can really see the texture if you look at the photo larger.

When I was in Colorado I went to the Summit of Mount Evans and got to see my first up close Mountain Goats.  before I had only seen them through my big telephoto lens.  I got to see several in fact and with babies.  This is a shot I got of one of the babies as it was climbing up a rock, it's mother was down behind.
