Happy May Day!  It's also Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog.  Today's flower is one that is blooming early this year in my area due to some unseasonably warm weather we had.  This is Dame's Rocket which normally just blooms in May and June but I captured this in later April.  It's an ornamental escapee that was originally planted by early settlers but has now naturalized.  It is in the Mustard Family.

The day started out dreary once again.  I needed this to brighten things up.  A lovely summer day with Dame's Rocket in bloom and a Red Admiral butterfly enjoying the blossoms fit that need well.
