Happy Monday and happy new week! My Balloon Flower has been blooming. It's in a shady spot over by the Gazebo pond and it has been windy so challenging to get a decent photo of. I liked this one though.

Happy Monday! We are on the downhill slide to Christmas now, not many shopping days left! Yikes. I am dreaming of summer with this image today. This is my Balloon flower which gets it's name, as you can probably see, from the unopened flower buds interesting shape.

Happy Monday! Starting off the week with a flower that I babied along when I first planted it by my Gazebo and it survived and comes back every year and has been getting larger. This is a miniature Balloon Flower. The flower blooms make it fairly obvious where the name comes from. They look even more balloon or bell like before they totally open up.

I have a miniature Balloon flower that I bought new and babied along throughout our drought last year. I was pleased to see it come back and fuller and produce a lot of blooms this year. It's a lovely little flower and these are 2 of it's blooms.

This is an image of a Balloon Flower from a plant I have been nursing along by the Gazebo of my new pond. I am wondering if it doesn't get all the sun it needs as it seems to be still quite small. I guess I will see if it comes back next year. It has been blooming like this from a week ago or so.

What a beautiful morning we had for once, in the 60s and beautiful blue sky. A great start to the day and weekend. It's supposed to get boiling hot again soon so I am enjoying it while I can. The image today is of my neighbor's Balloon flower. I shot this last year and just recently found the images and liked this one a lot so decided to share today. They are called Balloon flowers because before they open, their buds swell to balloon shape and then the petals break apart.
