It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog! Today's flower is Western Ironweed which normally blooms July through September. It is part of the Asteraceae - Sunflower family. It is one of the most common pasture weeds in Kansas but is very bitter so cows will not eat it though sheep will.
Guess sheep have no taste buds?😊 Nice looking plant, it would look nice scattered around a pasture
ReplyDeleteOr not ones for bitter.
