I was always thinking that the Meadowlarks did not stay around through the winter but this past year proved me wrong as I saw them fairly regularly. I captured this one very late winter/early spring in a field I was riding by. The Western Meadowlark is the state bird of Kansas.
Nice of them to hang around
ReplyDeleteI love to hear them calling as we ride by the fields. With all the green you don't see them as much unless they are on the electric wires.
