It's Steamy Sunday here on the Blog!  2 weeks ago already I was riding on the Cumbres & Toltec Railway in New Mexico and Colorado.  It was a fantastic ride as always.  The image for today is as our locomotive is getting ready to hook up to the train to take us out for our trip.  I liked the shadow cast on the ground.  The sun angle in the morning makes photography challenging.  😂

I have a video on YouTube HERE of it moving around and hooking up.

  1. AS you say neat shadows! I noticed in the video that the "cow catcher" at the front to the engine seems to stick along way out. What is between the cow catcher and the engine? Looks like a black box😊

    1. It is just a big support plate for the cow catcher/pilot. During the ride the engineer had to contend with several forms of wildlife including cows and Elk. Mostly just blew the whistle at them. It was kind of funny.
