It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog! Today's flower is one that has been very abundant in my area recently. This is Prairie Blue-eyed Grass. It usually blooms April through June. It is a rather dainty plant, growing from 4 to 16 inches tall with fairly small flowers. The name is mis-leading as it is not a grass but is part of the Iris family.
Haven't seen blue-eyed grass for a long time... Doesn't seem to grow around here
ReplyDeleteWhite eyed is more prevalent here it seems but both were out in force this day.
