 It's Wildflower Wednesday here on the Blog!  Today's flower is one that has been very abundant in my area recently.  This is Prairie Blue-eyed Grass.  It usually blooms April through June.  It is a rather dainty plant, growing from 4 to 16 inches tall with fairly small flowers.  The name is mis-leading as it is not a grass but is part of the Iris family.

  1. Haven't seen blue-eyed grass for a long time... Doesn't seem to grow around here

    1. White eyed is more prevalent here it seems but both were out in force this day.
